Jamee Aubrey:

Jamee was raised in Santa Barbara where she graduated from San Marcos High School. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Washington, and spent an additional three years studying at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. The next twenty years were consumed with raising her son and running a silkscreen and manufacturing business, Rhapsody, Inc., in Portland, Oregon. Several years ago she sold her business, and returned to her home town where she is painting full time. She has been involved in Adult Ed, Santa Barbara Art Association, Goleta Valley Art Association, Los Padres Watercolor Society, the Printmakers' Guild, has been Vice President and Publicity Chair of SCAPE (Southern California Artists Painting for the Environment) and California Art Club. Jamee is also participating in Santa Barbara Studio Artists and has had an Open Studio with them for four years. She has taught private art lessons and given workshops through the Santa Barbara Art Association.

Jamee has had the pleasure of showing in many shows with SCAPE, in Gallery 113, at the Meisel Gallery, in the Faulkner, at the Weldon Ranch (Larry Iwerks' gallery), Cabrillo Arts Pavillion, the Corridan Gallery, the Botanic Gardens, the Divine Inspiration Gallery, Palm Loft Gallery, and at the Museum of Natural History. She has received Honorable Mentions from Arturo Tello, Michael Drury, and the Santa Barbara Art Association as well as the Director's Choice Award at the Museum of Natural History Artwalk. Her latest show was the Glenna Hartmann Invitational Show this Spring.
